Blending dance with Scottish folk music, O Chiadain An Lo delves into themes of memory, ancestry, and hidden truths. Inspired by ancient melodies unearthed from 18th-century manuscripts, the piece reflects the haunting beauty of Scottish Highland bogs and wetlands—landscapes shaped by time and layered with stories of the past.
Created in collaboration with the Celtic Connections festival, O Chiadain An Lo (Gaelic for “Reflections of past days”) is the first collaboration between Scottish Dance Theatre’s Artistic Director Joan Clevillé, smallpipe virtuoso Brìghde Chaimbeul and Glasgow-based designer Zephyr Liddell.
