Born and raised in South-East London, Kassichana graduated from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2017. She has since worked with a range of UK choreographers - including touring work by Extended Play, ACE Dance and Music and TRIBE. Through 2021 she performed with the BODHI PROJECT Dance Company (Salzburg); touring pieces by Reut Shemesh and Adrienn Hód. In 2022 Kassichana performed outdoor works with SAY and Luca Silvestrini’sPROTEIN. 

 
Kassichana has enjoyed the eclecticism of freelancing; she’s worked in film and performance with brands including Hermes (with Georgina Starr), Nanushaka, Birthright, Tinder and directors such as Lou Jasmine.  She’s worked with different artists including Hercules & Love Affair and toured internationally with Rita Ora.

 
Kassichana has choreographed work for Sony Music, MORGAN and the BA (Hons) Degree at NSCD (TRIBE).  Moreover she’s taught on the Swindon and Trinity Laban CAT Schemes and at South East Dance. Kassichana’s chief inspiration is music; she’s fuelled and elated by the simple joy of movement and expression. She is interested in questioning the politics of bodies in spaces and has been developing her research project Yielding in Space, supported by Artsdepot.

Kassichana loves the open, generous, curious atmosphere at Scottish Dance Theatre and is very excited to delve further into the world and work of Pirates! By Joan Cleville.
