The magic is back at Dundee Rep this Christmas as the critically acclaimed musical A Christmas Carol returns for the 2023 festive season!
Directed by the Rep’s Artistic Director Andrew Panton, this contemporary interpretation of the ultimate Christmas story sees the return of the many of the original cast members from the 2021 production, including Ewan Donald reprising his role as the iconic character of Scrooge.
Also returning are Stephanie Cremona, Caitlin Forbes, Irene Macdougall, Benjamin Osugo, Ann Louise Ross, Isaac Savage, Mark Scott and Charlie West. Joining the ensemble cast for this production are Laura Lovemore and Kirsty Findlay.
Featuring everyone’s favourite characters – from Tiny Tim and Jacob Marley to the Ghost of Christmas Past, this wonderfully witty re-telling of Dickens’ tale of redemption is filled with ghostly thrills and gets the audience involved to help tell the story.
As rehearsals for the show began this week at the Rep, Andrew Panton said:
“I’m delighted to be re-assembling this brilliant ensemble cast and welcoming Laura and Kirsty into the company. The production made such a connection and really resonated with audiences when we premiered in 2021. It was with a sense of huge disappointment that we had to finish the run early back then due to lockdown measures, so this is our chance for the show to meet audiences that missed it first time around and those who want to come back again and share the magic. We can’t wait to welcome you back to The Rep”.
