I’m a playwright and director with experience across plays, musical theatre and cabaret. I understand theatre as a public artform that is rigorous, contemporary, accessible, and people focused, and I have worked with artists and communities across my decade in the industry towards this end.
I’m excited about projects that can only happen in a room with other people: that could be a ‘Good Night Out’ mainstage musical, an experimental German dance piece, a drag cabaret or a co-created epic telling the story of a city.
As a writer, I have been commissioned by Eden Court, Ayr Gaiety, Northern Stage and Edinburgh International Book Festival, and was the 2020/21 Mayfesto Writer-in-Residence at Glasgow’s Tron Theatre. In 2026 my play Breathtaking Roads opens at Glasgow’s famous Play, Pie, Pint in a coproduction with Stellar Quines.
Directing work includes My Name Is Rachel Corrie (Alphabetti Theatre), BOOTCUT (National Tour) and Little Miss Christmas (Alphabetti Theatre & Southwark Playhouse Borough). In 2026, I’m growing my directing experience at scale with an Associate Director role at Hampstead Theatre and a Staff Director job at the National Theatre.
I also work extensively as a dramaturg, supporting artists and the development of new work for organisations including Pitlochry Festival Theatre, The Lowry, Bush Theatre, Northern Stage, Imaginate and Sonia Friedman Productions. After working away for the last three years Newcastle and in London, I’m buying a flat in Glasgow and reintroducing myself to the Scottish sector.
