Rob is a writer, director and devisor working across the UK. His work for young people has won several awards including a CATS Award for The Voice Thief, A TMS Award for Pobby and Dingan and the Prix D’Orpheon for Simon la Gadouille.
His work for adults includes The Woods with Lesley Sharp and A Girl in a Car with a Man for which Andrew Scott won an Olivier Award, both at The Royal Court Theatre.
He recently wrote Christmas Dinner for the Lyceum, Edinburgh and the comedy horror Death Drop: Back in the Habit for Willem and Juju Bee of RuPaul’s Drag Race. His latest show for young people, Lightning Ridge, was a critical success at the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe.
His dance work as co-creator includes Tiger and Tiger Tale, Little Red and Too Close to the Sun with Barrowland Ballet. And as dramaturg he has worked on Pirates and The Blank Album.
He is currently adapting a novel by Neil Gaiman for Christmas 2024, writing a new large-scale musical and has several TV projects in development.
His work has been performed across the world and is published by Faber and Faber.
