What The Steamie means to Andy
I am delighted to be joining The Steamie for the 2026 tour. Growing up I always knew about The Steamie as my Gran would talk about it and other people around about me
over the years. I remember watching the TV version a number of times and really enjoyed the old school patter, proper patter. It’s a huge privilege to be working with Tony Roper for his last outing. I was lucky I got to work with him years ago on Rab C Nesbitt, where my character got to stick the heed on Jamsey Cotter and steal his chips. Thankfully he laughed about that in my audition for the Steamie which was a good Icebreaker! I Can’t wait to get going with this one.
