Oğuz Kaplangı is a British and Turkish composer and sound designer based in Edinburgh, creating music across theatre, film, television and advertising. His theatre work includes Hamnet, The Duchess [of Malfi], Macbeth [an Undoing] and Arabian Nights, collaborating with companies such as the Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal Lyceum Theatre and Bristol Old Vic. He received the Critics’ Awards for Theatre in Scotland award for Best Music and Sound for Zinnie Harris’ adaptation of Ionesco’s Rhinoceros. His recent album RESIST explores themes of unity, identity and social change through a cinematic and textural musical language
