Laurens has a background in drama and working in SEMH and SEN schools with a wide range of ages and varying needs. He qualified as a dramatherapist in 2022 from Anglia Ruskin University and has since relocated to Scotland with his family.

Laurens joined the Dundee Rep Theatre in September 2024 to set up and run the Creative Family Wellbeing Service within the Engage Team. He is currently working with ages 4-17 in 1:1, group and family dyadic formats.

Alongside his dramatherapy work, Laurens is also training in Systemic Family Therapy to further inform his practice.
