I am a choreographer, performer and co-director of S&K Dance, a Scotland-based company rooted in hip hop theatre and contemporary movement. My practice sits at the intersection of physical storytelling, cultural identity and spatial design. I create work that is dynamic, immersive and driven by transitions. All through the vessel of Hip Hop fundaments and UK street dance style. I am particularly interested in how movement travels through space and how audiences physically experience that journey.
As a performer I have worked with an number of companies Hofesh Shecher, Kendrick H20 Sandy and Ivan Blackstock, I have previously presented work at Blue Boy, Breakin’ Convention and many more in my career. Those experiences shaped my understanding of hip hop theatre as a powerful narrative form .One that holds culture, resistance, rhythm and community. As a choreographer, I now build work that draws on those foundations while expanding into theatrical structures and character-led storytelling.
Through S&K Dance, I also lead community-based training and performance opportunities, working with young people and emerging dancers. This has deeply influenced my artistic voice: I am committed to creating work that feels accessible, relevant and emotionally resonant, without compromising complexity.
My work often explores themes of belonging, migration, division and connection. I am interested in how bodies carry history and how identity is expressed physically, through rhythm, posture, tension and release. I aim to create performances that are not only watched but felt . Where audiences leave with a sense that they have travelled somewhere.
Route represents an evolution in my choreographic voice, deepening narrative development while remaining grounded in hip hop’s physical and cultural language.
