Jonathan Soucasse is a Swedish/French composer and pianist who, in addition to his artistic degree, also studied musicology and holds a diploma as a ballet and dance accompanist. He won the audience prize at the Crest Jazz Festival and is known for the ease with which he creates links between jazz, classical, electronic music and improvisation. He regularly performs as a musician and composes music for dance ensembles, theatre and film projects. As a musician he is engaged by the Ballet Preljocaj, and had the opportunity to work with Merce Cunningham Dance Company, P.A.R.T.S. de Kersmaeker, Opéra national de Paris, Béjart Ballet Lausanne.
In addition to his work for the choreography The Game Of Life by Edouard Hue at the Scottish Dance Theater, he will also compose the music for the next creation of Beaver Dam Company in 2026, and with the Ballet Du Rhin in 2027 under the artistic direction of Edouard Hue with whom he is collaborating since 2019.
He also recorded recently the second album of his jazz project Jon and John Trio, with whom they are performing in Europe and famous Jazz festival.
