Ellis graduated from Queen Margaret University in 2021 with a BA (Hons) in Drama and Performance, where she discovered a passion for working creatively with children and young people. While studying, she volunteered at Strange Town in Edinburgh, as a Classroom Assistant and worked Front of House at Capital Theatres. In 2019, she led drama sessions to over 300 international campers through the Camp America Programme at Camp Hilltop, New York.
After graduation, Ellis trained as a Drama Teacher with placements in Dundee but later shifted paths, joining Dundee Rep and Scottish Dance Theatre as Visitor Experience Supervisor. In 2025, she returned to the classroom as a Creative Assistant in the Engage Department at DRSDT. She especially enjoys working with the Bright Sparks ASN Drama group, describing the joy on participants' faces as the highlight of her week.
