Deirdre graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in 1991. She has worked for many theatre companies including the Tron Theatre, Perth Rep, The Citizens’, The Byre & Pitlochry Festival Theatre. She last appeared at Dundee Rep in Dial M For Murder over 20 years ago.
Her highlights have been David Kane’s Dumbstruck (Tron, Glasgow & national tour, Peter Arnott’s Group Portrait Of A Summer Landscape (PFT/ Lyceum, Edinburgh), Nicola McCartney’s Heritage (PFT), Rona Munro’s Bold Girls ( Citizens’, Glasgow) & Lesley Hart’s Sherlock Holmes… ( PFT/ OVO St. Albans). She also played Eunice in A Streetcar Named Desire (PFT) which transfers to the Lyceum, Edinburgh in October 2024.
Deirdre spent 14 years playing Eileen Donachie in BBC Scotland’s River City.
