Caitlin is from a small village, Cromarty, in the Scottish Highlands and began dancing at her local dance schools from a young age. She transitioned to vocational training at The Hammond School in Chester when she was 15 before going on to complete her BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. During her degree she enjoyed working with Joseph Mercier and Imogen Reeve on ‘Back to the Fuchsia III’ as well as Hofesh Shechter Company on the first re-staging of ‘Grand Finale’.
Caitlin is interested in exploring the world through movement, using her practice as a tool to deepen her self-awareness and understanding of the world around her. Outside of the studio she has a passion for music, films, hiking and vegan cooking.
She is very excited about joining Scottish Dance Theatre as an apprentice and to be working alongside such talented and inspiring artists. She is looking forward to being based in Scotland again and getting out and about to the beautiful nature nearby!
