Amelia graduated with a BA (Hons) in Dance from The Scottish School of Contemporary Dance in 2016. She has worked with Dundee Rep and Scottish Dance Theatre since 2013 in a variety of roles, including class tutor and creative assistant with Rep Engage, and as part of the front of house team, previously as Deputy Visitor Experience Manager.
Originally from the Highlands, she has made Dundee her home, where she continues to explore the intersection of movement, learning, and performance. Since 2023, she has been pursuing a PhD in performance psychology at the University of St Andrews, working closely with dancers at different career stages to better understand the cognitive processes involved in performing under pressure.
Her curiosity about the mind-body connection and her passion for supporting others in their creative journeys underpin her work both in and out of the studio. When not studying or teaching, she can often be found on long-distance runs, enjoying the rhythm of the outdoors.
