What The Steamie means to Ali
The Steamie is such a staple of Scottish theatre and culture, so to be part of it feels like a real privilege. I’m so excited to get stuck into the nuts and bolts of it all. My wee granny loved The Steamie, and I’ve so many fond memories of her laughing and saying, “Aye, that’s how we spoke tae each ither hen!” Magrit’s always been a dream role of mine, and I’m still pinching myself that it’s actually happening...never mind working with the one & only Tony Roper! Insane!”
