We are looking for an Assistant Director for our upcoming production of A History of Paper

- 41 performances at Pitlochry Festival Theatre and Dundee Rep Theatre
- Opportunity to collaborate with a full creative team (Director, Composer, Set & Costume Designer, Musical Director, Lighting Designer, Sound Designer)
The Assistant Director Opportunity
The Assistant Director will work closely with the Director to support the creation of the show.
5- week rehearsal block in July 2026, going into tech and previews in August 2026 before a five week run in Pitlochry and then a week in Dundee. Key dates are outlined below.
Who are we looking for?
- A Scottish based Assistant Director – with at least two previous assisting credits on a professional production or has directed a piece of their own work.
- Someone who is looking to develop mid-scale experience and grow their involvement and responsibility on a production and has a particular interest in new music theatre
- Someone who is highly organised, confident, flexible, calm and approachable.
- A good team player who is willing to work collaboratively with the team around the show (creative team, cast, stage management team and all staff teams across Dundee Rep Theatre and Pitlochry Festival Theatre)
