About To Be Kept By The Earth
To Be Kept By The Earth is a live performance and installation by GRIPPD Art Company, created by Farrah Fawcett. Presented in the round, the work invites audiences into an atmospheric world of breath, movement, and grounded presence—where performance meets ritual and the space itself becomes a place to rest within.
A sculptural landscape, shaped in part by living moss and hand-bound organic forms, surrounds the choreography. This environment holds the body and its rhythms—soft, cyclical, and rooted in collective breath.
The performance is accompanied by a soundtrack byThe Goblin Band, drawing on folk music from across the UK and time itself. The music carries the earthy, melodic textures of traditions passed between generations. Live sound elements are also present—gently layered with movement to create an immersive and spacious atmosphere.
Rhythmic breathwork and movement drawn from inherited forms of dance, including traces of Scottish step, offers a felt connection to pulse, place, and shared heritage. The audience is invited to witness and dwell within this slow, resonant performance—where sound, breath, and movement gather.
