About The Naked Neds
The Naked Neds follows a tight‐knit gang of Glasgow lads as they struggle to make sense of their best friend’s suicide in a world where political scandals hog the headlines and NHS waiting lists stretch on forever. Determined to honour him, they launch a series of increasingly desperate, and often disastrous fundraising stunts. Just when they think their luck can’t get any worse, one of the boys finds a lump on his testicle. Suddenly, fear, confusion and the stark reality of cancer slam into their banter‐filled world, forcing them to confront mortality head‐on.
Blending razor‐sharp humour with unflinching honesty, The Naked Neds tackles men’s mental health and testicular cancer awareness like never before. In a ground‐breaking moment, the audience is guided through a step‐by‐step testicular self‐check demonstration, transforming awkwardness into empowerment and equipping every man with vital knowledge. This intimate scene then gives way to an uproarious live “Full Monty” performance, turning vulnerability into collective triumph and laughter.
One of the most powerful and unexpectedly funny shows I’ve seen in a long time
