About Guys and Dolls
Directed by The Lyceum’s Artistic Director James Brining, this brand-new production of Guys & Dolls is full of heart, humour, and irresistible swing.
From the streets of 1950s New York to the heart of Havana, step into a world of big bets and bold characters. Follow a cast of gamblers, showgirls and dreamers as they chase luck, dodge commitment, and discover that love doesn’t always play by the rules.
At its heart, two love stories unfold in unexpected ways, reminding us that sometimes the biggest gamble is falling for someone.
James Brining, Artistic Director and CEO of The Lyceum commented:
“This season brings together stories that feel epic in scale but deeply human at their heart - stories of love, courage, conflict, joy and redemption that speak powerfully to the world we’re living in now. These are productions made to be shared with an audience in a room together. There’s something special about experiencing these stories live - the energy, the emotion, the sense of connection - and this season celebrates the power of theatre to bring people together. I’m especially excited that so much of this work is being created in collaboration with artists and partners across Scotland, championing ambitious theatre-making and the incredible talent we have here.”
Guys & Dolls is supported by Walter and Norma Nimmo.
