Applications are now open for those interested in showcasing their products at our market. If you’re a local maker interested in a stall we’d love to hear from you! Deadline for applications is 15 November 2024.
Stall holder information and guidelines
Please read the following guidelines complete the application form via the link below if you are interested in having a stall at our Festive Market.

We are excited to showcase local talent and offer a platform for small businesses and local makers to sell their handmade and unique products. Please follow the guidelines below to ensure a smooth and successful experience for everyone.
1. Eligibility Criteria
- Local Makers Only: This market is dedicated to showcasing Dundee and nearby regions' small businesses and artisans. All products sold must be made, designed, or crafted by local creators. Preference will be given to Dundee-based and local makers.
- Handmade/Locally Produced: We encourage high-quality, handmade, or locally produced goods, such as crafts, art, textiles, jewellery and homewares. Resale of mass-produced or imported goods is not permitted.
- Sustainable Practices: We strongly encourage eco-friendly and sustainable practices. Preference may be given to those who use recyclable, upcycled, sustainable or environmentally conscious materials.
2. Application Process
- Submission: Complete the online application form by the 15th November 2024. Include detailed information about your products, including photos, a description of your business, and any social media links or websites.
- Selection: Our team will review all applications to ensure they align with the ethos of the market. We aim for a diverse range of products, so spaces may be limited for similar types of goods. Decisions will be made and successful applicants will be informed by 22nd November.
- Fees: A stall fee of £30 + VAT is required once your application is accepted.
3. Stall Set-Up
- Stall Size & Layout: Stall location will be assigned based on your application. You will be provided with a basic table unless you choose to bring your own display. If you have specific layout requests or need electricity, please notify us in advance.
- Décor & Presentation: Stalls should be attractively presented, with appropriate signage displaying your business name. You are responsible for bringing all additional display items such as shelves, racks, or stands.
- Health & Safety: Ensure that your display is safe and secure.
4. Market Day Operations
- Arrival and Set-Up: Stallholders should arrive at least 1 hour before the market opens to allow ample time for setting up.
- Operating Hours: Stallholders must remain open for the entirety of the market hours. Early takedown is not permitted unless previously approved by the market organisers.
- Staffing: Each stallholder is responsible for staffing their stall at all times. Ensure that you have enough assistance for busy periods.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Offering a positive experience can help generate repeat business and boost your brand presence.
5. Payments and Pricing
- Payment Methods: Stallholders are responsible for processing their own payments. Please ensure you have a working card machine or other payment processing systems. WiFi will be provided to all stallholders.
- Pricing: Clearly display prices for all items. Ensure that your prices are fair and competitive while reflecting the handmade or locally produced nature of your goods.
6. Sustainability and Waste Management
- Eco-Friendly Packaging: We encourage the use of recyclable or biodegradable packaging materials where possible. Reducing single-use plastic and promoting reusable options is a key priority for the market.
- Waste Disposal: Stallholders are responsible for keeping their area tidy and removing any waste. Trash bins will be provided, but please take large or excess waste with you to minimize the environmental impact.
7. Promotion
- Market Promotion: The market will be promoted through various channels, including social media, local press, and online platforms. We encourage all stallholders to share market information on their own social media accounts to reach a wider audience.
- Stallholder Branding: Make sure your brand is visible at your stall. Use banners, business cards, or social media handles to help customers find you after the market.
8. Refunds and Cancellations
- Cancellation Policy: Full refunds are available if cancellations are made by 1st December 2024. No refunds will be issued after this date.If you need to cancel your participation, please notify us as early as possible so we can offer your space to another vendor. In the event of cancellation by the organisers (e.g., due to severe weather), refunds or rescheduled dates will be considered.
