I’m a playwright and musician from Edinburgh. My experience is in small-scale, character driven work. My creative interest lies in work that engages with queerness and womanhood; set within the familiar, everyday world. I have an MA in dramatic writing from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and received my first professional commission from them for my short film ‘Chore Chart’. After completing my masters I moved to London, where I put on my debut stage play ‘Have a Nice Day!’ at Clapham Fringe before securing a successful transfer to the Old Red Lion. My second play ‘Potluck’ is a larger scale, larger cast play which is currently being redrafted for the Royal Court Theatre after being written as part of their introductory playwriting group in 2024. Early last year, I had a short play ‘(Re)Visiting’ selected by Chesil Theatre to be performed in their Take Ten festival.
A keen songwriter, I am now working on musical theatre work, allowing me to combine my two creative passions. My most recently released songwriting project can be found on spotify under the name ‘Saltpink’ with bandmates Becky Gowans and Liam Coyle and can be heard on series 1 of the BBC series ‘Float’. I am putting my years of hospitality experience to good use as a freelance restaurant reviewer and contributor to the Edinburgh Guide for TimeOut.
