I am a multi award-winning, working class writer and performer based in Dundee. I run Elfie Picket Theatre- a theatre duo producing new, contemporary work with a focus on Scots, working class representation and community. I am currently the Scots Scriever for the National Library of Scotland, and recipient of Scottish Book Trust's prestigious, New Writer's Award for Spoken Word 2025. I am also an actor, facilitator, poet and have been running a monthly Scots language night in Dundee for the past 2 years- the first of its kind. My writing focuses on women's narratives, politically engaged work, untold stories- particularly queer and working class stories. I love to explore these themes using music, poetry and Scots language.
