Dive into a cinematic and surreal dance journey from the comfort of your home and experience dance as you never have before. Scottish Dance Theatre’s acclaimed production The Life and Times returns to Rep Studios this spring, after reaching audiences in 10 different countries during its digital premiere in 2021.

Conceived by Scottish Dance Theatre’s Artistic Director Joan Clevillé and set to a sumptuous soundtrack of Baroque music, The Life and Times is a visual meditation on our relationship with time and the power of creativity and imagination.

“It feels entirely live and in the moment, a shared experience where you can almost smell the greasepaint” Kelly Apter, The Scotsman
“Puts the audience front and centre of the action, truly immersing you in the journey”  Lewis C. Baird, Theatre Scotland
“A remarkably intimate online experience”, Graham Watts, Dance Tabs

Choreographed and Directed by Joan Clevillé
Performed by Scottish Dance Theatre
Digital Artist Tao-Anas Le Thanh
Costume and Set Design Matthias Strahm
Lighting Design Emma Jones
